WHERE THE HILL COMES TOGETHER
The Stonebreaker
For more than a century, the house itself has stood on Markham Hill. Its name has changed, but its role as a place of hospitality and connection remains.
WELCOME TO THE STONEBREAKER
OZARK HOSPITALITY
A Living Room for the Neighborhood
The Stonebreaker is the social heart of the hill. A welcoming place for neighbors, travelers, and members alike. The restaurant follows the rhythms of the Ozark seasons, whether you're coming for brunch, a long dinner, or a drink on the porch.
It’s built for being shared.
Private events have a place here, too. The Barn, the meadow, and the surrounding grounds provide flexible settings for weddings, celebrations, and gatherings of all kinds. More than a destination, The Stonebreaker is part of the fabric of Markham Hill.

HISTORY
At the Heart of Markham Hill
Originally built in the early 1900s as a private residence, the home later became a summer camp and then a beloved inn. Each chapter rooted in gathering. Today, The Stonebreaker carries that legacy forward through a careful restoration that honors its past while shaping a distinctly modern Ozark hospitality experience.
